Knoxville Track Champion Ian Madsen Excited for Australian Season

Fresh off of a championship season in the Untied States in 2014, Ian Madsen has made his way back to his native Australia, as he is excited to kick off his 2014/2015 season with the D&B Goodyer Developments No. 10 team.

“I really can’t thank car owners, Darren and Belinda Goodyer, as well as crew chief, Dave Sharman, for the opportunity that has been presented to me,” Madsen said. “Everyone has done a phenomenal job assembling this team in a short time frame, and with them mirroring the KCP Racing team, I think we will be pretty good out of the box.”

Scheduled to kick his season off last weekend, rain in the Sydney area pushed their debut back a week, but Madsen could not be more excited to get things underway this weekend in Brisbane.

“It was a little disappointing getting rained out last weekend, but I am excited to get to Brisbane International Speedway this weekend to get some laps before the busy Christmas period begins,” Madsen said.

With no series commitments, Madsen and his D&B Goodyer Developments team will run a miscellaneous schedule in Australia, looking to take part in some prestigious races, and earn some big wins.

“This entire operation seems extremely professional, and hopefully we can put a very strong season together,” he added. “I also need to thank my KCP Racing team for allowing me to come down and compete while they are back in Iowa working hard for the 2015 season in the United States.”

Madsen would like to thank D&B Goodyer Developments, MK Excavating, Adornato Sand & Gravel, Watsons Express Transport, Lucas Oil Products, QSS Speedway Spares, Revolution Racegear, Oval Express, and Dyden Signs for their support.

Madsen and the D&B Goodyer Developments Team will be in action this Saturday night at the Brisbane International Speedway in what will be their first even together.
